Jammu, February 12 (KNO) : Seven months after he was found dead in this side of Line of Control, Army will be handing over Pakistan Administered Kashmir resident’s body to Pakistan Army. According to KNO correspondent, the body of the deceased was exhumed after District Magistrate ordered its exhumation so that the body is handed over to Indian Army for further action. Additional Superintendent of Police SP Nowshera, BL Sharma told KNO that the body was exhumed on the orders by District Magistrate and has been handed over to the Army. "They will be handing over the body to Pakistan Army so he reaches to his family," Sharma said. Police sources said that the deceased was identified as Mohammed Arshid, son of Mohd Shabir of Kotli Gujran PaK. They said that Arshid's body was found near LOC under mysterious circumstances and was later handed over to MoraKampla villagers to be buried with religious rites. “It seemed he died of electrocution but was not identified in this side of the LOC but later Pakistan army approached the Indian Army that the deceased was Azad Kashmir resident," he said. Army too had compiled a report in this regard. Taking note of all this, District Magistrate Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad has ordered to exhume the body from grave. In its order, District Magistrate has asked police to exhume the body in presence of Executive Magistrate and doctors and then hand over the same to Army so that body can be handed over to the Pakistani Army. In its report, police has also submitted that man might have crossed LoC and reached here where he died under mysterious circumstances. District Magistrate Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Assad confirmed that order for exhuming body has been issued. A team comprising of Doctors, Tehsildar, Army and Police exhumed body today and handed over to Army for further action.(KNO)
